Antibiotics are basically of two types one which eradicate the bacterial infections completely by killing them and other ones are those that curtails the multiplication of the bacteria. The antibiotics that kill bacteria are called bacteriostatic and antibiotics that eradicate bacteria are bacteriostatic.
