This is an ancient form of workout that is believed to be brilliant for the body and the soul.  It is said to be beneficial for the body, mind and soul. It is traditionally thought that yoga is has physical, emotional and psychological health benefits.

Yoga is a mix of postures (asanas), pranayam (breathing techniques) and meditation. It is not only employed to lose weight but is also considered therapeutic. Yoga needs a right environment so that the person can be at peace.

Benefits-

  • It helps a person become more aware of his mind, body and spirit.
  • It can help in healing of certain disorders such as hypertension, diabetes and arthritis.
  • It helps the body by being more flexible.
  • Can correct postures.
  • Helps people in emotional trouble by helping them relax.

Disadvantages- the results maybe a little slow

 

Gym

 

This is excellent for people who want to lose weight quickly. It has been observed that if this is accompanied by controlled diet, the results can be excellent. Men who are seriously into body building and want to have a muscular look opt for gym exercises. It is believed that people who are in the glamour world, especially men, are seriously into this form of work outs.

The gym exercises can be done by taking help of gadgets such as treadmills, dumbbells and dual axis chest press. Overdoing it can lead to pain and injury and they can only be performed against expert guidance.

However, it does not help is mental relaxation. Some of the benefits of gym exercises are

 

  • They help in strengthening of muscles.
  • They help in increasing the blood circulation in the body.
  • They help to fight diseases such as osteoporosis and heart diseases
  • They help in weight management.
