It is also low in calories and fat, high in fiber and water content. It’s also a natural detoxifying agent. Some also believe that it can increase the basal metabolic rate.
Cabbage- Cabbage in any form, be it soups of salads, helps to burn excess fat. It has diuretic properties due to the presence of sulphur and iodine which can easily cleanse the excess mucous in the stomach and intestine. It acts as an anti-diuretic due to which it can break the fat in the belly and helps to control the uneven distribution of fat.
Brussel Sprouts- These are known as stimulants to the glands and have a good effect on the pancreas. The pancreas release hormones that help to detoxify the body cells. They are also a rich source of minerals which help to keep the kidney stimulated due to which there is faster elimination of waste products from the body.
Beet- This red underground vegetable is a rich source of iron and helps to fight anemia. It is also a good diuretic and helps to enhance the functioning of the kidney and liver. Due to this, the liver helps to throw away the excess fat while the kidney keeps the body detoxified.
Asparagus- This green vegetable is rich in a chemical known as asparagines which is an alkaloid. This keeps the kidney stimulated and helps to improve blood circulation. The alkaloids are also directly effective in breaking down fat and thus reduce weight. Asparagus is rich in chemicals that detoxify the body which rid it of oxalic acid. The oxalic acids are attached to fat cells which are also thrown out in the process.
Carrots- They are a rich source of carotene and vitamin A, which help in flushing out excess fat from the system. The combination of carotene and vitamin A helps to increase the basal metabolic rate which increases the rate at which fat is burnt in the body and thus burns calories faster.
Cucumber- Is rich in sulphur and silicon, the minerals that can stimulate the kidneys to wash excess uric acid which increase the toxicity level in the body.
