Most of us hate the idea of working out. The reasons for this can vary, from expensive gym memberships, to running short of time; people have various reasons for skipping exercises. However, people can lose weight if they make a few small changes in their daily life:

 

  • Throw the remote- don’t do this literally. What we mean in that, stop using the remote to flip channels. This tip is especially useful for people who are chronic couch potatoes. The remote control is a good work out for your thumb, the last part of your anatomy that needs to lose weight. Getting up from the couch to change channels is a good work out for your thighs, buttocks and stomach, literally. It might also solve the confusion over which channel to watch and getting up every 2 minutes is not something that you will look forward to.
  • Ignore the lift- whether you are heading for your office or home; ignore the lift for as long as you can. Take a deep breath and head up the stairs. However, it is important to ensure that you are wearing the correct foot wear while doing so. Stilettos and high heels can do you more harm than good, and leave you with severe leg aches for days. Try wearing comfortable shoes and go up the stairs. This will ensure that you are remain fit, lose weight on your muscles and thigh and also save electricity by reducing the usage of the lift.
  • Do all the fetching- stop telling your office boys and children to run errands. Learn to get up from your seat and do your own thing. This will help to burn a lot of calories and at the same time, it will also give your juniors some breathing time.
  • Walk- stop taking the car for short distances. Instead of that, learn to walk.
