We humans, come in the category of mammals. When a mammal is stressed out, he opts to growl, bare his teeth and release the pressure through strange noises. But we cannot do that. Imagine if we start baring our teeth and growling at the smallest sign of stress. We humans deal by suppressing the stress level and letting it reside in the body. This stress can manifest itself in the form of a disease after a point of time. Researchers have concluded that stress has some ‘favorite’ places. These are:-
- Brain- yes, the most important organ of your body is the very first to be targeted. Brain affection has some common characteristics that include memory loss, depression and eating unhealthy food in large quantities. The best way to deal with this is by doing things that will decrease your stress level such as taking a day off from work and relaxing or having a small get together with friends and sharing a good laugh.
- Hair- one of the most pampered parts of our body, stress has a strong liking for our hair. So the moment a person is stressed out, there are chances that he will suffer from hair fall, thin and weak hair and dandruff.
- Nervous system- during moments of excitement, hormones are the reasons due to which one is happy, feels focused or gets nostalgic. But when we are stressed, there are certain changes in the body that result in hormonal disorders such as irregular menstrual cycle, decrease in the basic metabolic rate leading to obesity and erectile dysfunction.
- Muscles – people who are under heavy mental tension experience severe aches in their back and neck muscles. The only way to deal with this is to stand and flex your muscles once in a few hours. It will increase the circulation of blood and ease the stress.
