The case of impotency in men is rising. Although it may not be your fault, you may become victim of it. Reason – sperm killers are present everywhere. Everyday men all over the world are affected by many chemicals that affect their sperm counts and even silently modify DNA sperm data.
Some of the common reasons for reduction in sperm count in men are:
1. Cash register receipts
You get a receipt for any transaction. These receipts usually contain chemicals which reduce sperm count. To be precise, 40 percent of receipts are smeared with a particular kind of hormone-disrupting chemical bisphenol-A (BPA), which may cause fertility problems and heart disease. According to a new study published in the journal Fertility and Sterility, men with higher BPA levels in their urine suffer from low sperm counts and lower sperm quality than men with lower levels.
How to protect yourself?
In case if you need receipt, keep it in envelope or folder. Do not store it in pocket or in the wallet which you are using constantly. Also do not throw receipts in bin as BPA can contaminate water and recycled-paper products.
2. Canned food
Many researchers believe that packaging food is also one of the main sources of BPA contamination. This is because metal cans are coated with a BPA resin, which may mix with the food. Acidic canned foods, such as tomato paste or sauces are saturated with BPA.
Many researchers believe the biggest source of BPA contamination comes through food packaging. Sure, canned food is convenient, but almost all of those metal cans are coated with a BPA resin, which migrates into the food. Acidic canned products, such as tomato paste or sauces are particularly saturated with BPA.
How to protect yourself?
If possible, buy fresh or frozen food instead of buying food in cans, and buy foods such as pasta sauce sold in glass jars rather than cans.
3. Sex toys
Avoid usage of adult toys such as dildos, vibrators, and male pleasure devices made of vinyl as they have phthalates, plastic-softening chemicals linked to cancer, allergies, birth defects, and infertility.
How to protect yourself?
Use green foreplay products prepared of high-quality medical silicone, such as the We-Vibe. For non plastic pleasure, try a glass dildo.
4. Your toxic shower
Phthalates are also present in scented soaps, shampoos, and cleaners, and in vinyl shower curtains. More importantly, heat from the shower may release the chemicals.
How protect yourself?
Go for a simple soap-and-shampoo-in-one. Even baby soap would do as it’s free of harmful phthalate-containing products. Avoid personal-care products with fragrance or scent. Buy a long-lasting hemp shower curtain instead of going for vinyl curtains every month or two.
Thus by following certain simple guidelines, the factors which may affect sperm count can be reduced.
